AMAZING! Team Silver and new hill record for Norway!

WOW, what an exciting last competition in Lahti. It was really like a skijumping crime story - especially in the final round in which you had to be really lucky to catch the right wind conditions. And you needed nerves of steel, too.

And these had cleary the Team from Poland (with Piotr Żyła, Dawid Kubacki, Maciej Kot, Kamil Stoch) which jumped to gold (total score: 1104,2 points) - the first gold medal for Poland at a World Championship. Congrats! Well deserved! Bronze goes to the Austrian skijumpers Michael Hayböck, Manuel Fettner, Gregor Schlierenzauer and Stefan Kraft (total score: 1068,9 points) . But the best thing of today ist that our Norwegian Eagles got Silver (total score: 1078,5 points)! Yesss! Now let`s have a detailed look at their jumps.

First and foremost all 4 have shown really strong jumps in both rounds. After the good results at the individual competition on Friday that was to be expected. But there were two outliers to the botton and to the top. As first jumper of the Norwegian Team Anders Fannemel presented a very strong jump on 131,0 meters. However after his second on 112,5 meters it was almost sure that Norway won`t get a medal. But if you need a super hero then comes Johann André Forfang and jump on 138 meters! And besides the silver medal also the new hill record goes to Norway! Awesome!

Certainly a team medal is a team performance, of course: Andreas Stjernen (1st round: 127,5 meters, final round: 125,5 meters) as well as Daniel-André Tande (two times 126, 0 meters) have shown very good jumps, especially in the difficult final round. So you can see there are 4 good reason why the Norwegian Team jumped to silver. Fantastic! A very happy ending for the Norwegain lads at the World Championship in Lahti.

Now you can so much the more looking forward to the Raw Air Tournament from March, the 10th till 19th in Oslo, Lillehammer, Trondheim and Vikersund.
