Before we have a closer look at the performance of the Norwegian Ladies and Gentlemen, let`s say that the German Mixed Team with Carina Vogt, Markus Eisenbichler, Svenja Würth and Andreas Wellinger dominated the whole competition. They won well deserved (total score: 1035,5 points). The silver medal goes to Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, Michael Hayböck, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Stefan Kraft from the Austrian Team (total score: 999,3 points) and bronze have got the Japanes Sara Takanashi, Taku Takeuchi, Yūki Itō and Daiki Itō (total score: 979,7 points).

First of all you will have noticed that Johann André Forfang didn`t jumped. When he has arrived at the hill he didn`t felt quite good. That`s why Andreas Stjernen replaced him in the last minute. Altogether the four have shown good jumps, but at this high performance densitiy it wasn`t good enough. So they jumped on place 5th (total score: 877,8 points) at the end.

For Silje Opseth was it a very special situation, because the 17-year-old didn`t only her first World Championship, but also her first mixed team competiton. Understandable that Silje was really nervous. In the first round she jumped on 80,5 meters, but unfortunately in the final only on 67,5 meters. Afterwards she makes herself more reproaches than nessecary, because there are many World Championships to look forward to. Siljes teammate Maren Lundby has shown good jumps, too. After she has missed on Friday, the 24th unfortunately the podium were her today`s jumps on 90,5 meters and 93,5 meters a conciliatory end at the normal hill in Lahti.

The successor Andreas Stjernen did a really good job, if you consider that he hadn`t much time to get ready. Andreas jumped on 91,5 meters and 91,0 meters. Also Daniel-André Tande has shown good jumps in the last competition at the unloved normal hill. In the first round he landed on 91,0 meters and improved himself by 4 meters on 95,0 meters in the final round. With this performance he`s satisfied and said towards Hopplandslaget: "I trust my self enough to give what I need to give in the final jump. I'm looking forward to the big hill." With these words you can looking forward to the next competitions on Thursday, the 2nd March (start at 17:30, CET) and Saturday, the 4th March (start at 16:15, CET).
