The first competition at the new hill in PyeongChang was the rehearsal for the Winter Olympics in 2018. And it was a great one with strong jumps and a new hill record of 139,5 meters by the German Stephan Lehye and the Slovene Anže Lanišek.

But both weren`t on the podium at the end. Again the Austrian Stefan Kraft (1st round: 138 meters, final round: 137,5 meters, total score: 293,5 points) was really strong and not to beat for the WorldCup Leader Kamil Stoch (1st round: 126,5 meters, final round: 134 meters, total score: 268,2 points) from Poland, who became 3rd. On the second place landed the German Andreas Wellinger (1st round: 136 meters, final round: 136 meters, total score: 279,8 points). It`s always a neck and neck between Stefan and Andreas, which until now steadily the Austrian could decide for himself.

But now have a look where the Norwegian Eagles landed. As always the best man was Daniel-André Tande with jumps on 132,5 meters and 126,5 meters. Unfortunately he got back wind at his second jump and sliped from place 3rd to place 6th (total score: 254,6 points) in the final ranking. Also Robert Johansson had bad luck with the wind and didn`t get the chance to confirm the great impression from yesterday's qualification. Robert can enter place 10th (1st round: 129 meters, final round: 123,5 meters, total score: 244,6 points) in the books for himself.

Andreas Stjernen didn`t quite fulfil the expectations, but he could be placed under the Top 20: jumps on 129,5 meters and 126 meters means place 18th (total score: 233,1 points) at the end. His teammate Halvor Egner Granerud achieved almost exact the same result like in the qualification: place 23rd today (1st round: 131 meters, final round: 123,5 meters, total score: 227,8 points).

A really good competition day for the Norwegian Team and a good initial situation for tomorrow. Start is at 11:00 (CET).
