The 65th Four Hills Tournament seems to be under a lucky star, because at the second stage in Garmisch-Patenkirchen the weather conditions were as well as in Oberstdorf. So the audience could admire really good jumps on this New Year`s Eve. On this last day of 2016 the German Markus Eisenbichler (138 m) won the qualification ahead Stefan Kraft (138 m) and Manuel Fettner (139 m) from Austria.

Just like in Oberstdorf Daniel-André Tande was the best Norwegian with a jump on 135 m. Therewith he makes clear that he is, of course, still in contention for the overall victory of the 4 Hills Tournament.
Today was also a better day for the rest of the Norwegian Team. Andreas confirmed with a very good jump on 133,5 meters his uptrend. And Robert (127,5 m), Anders (127 m), Tom (123 m) and Halvor (124 m) have shown real good jumps.
These are the K.O. Duels for our Norwegian Boys tomorrow:
1. Robert Johansson versus Anže Semenič (SLO)
2. Anders Fannemel versus Stefan Hula (POL)
3. Andreas Stjernen versus Dimitry Vassiliev (RUS)
4. Daniel-André Tande versus Tom Hilde
5. Halvor Egner Granerud versus Michael Hayböck (AUT)
Unfortunately there will be tomorrow a Norwegian Duel of Tom and Daniel-André. Keep your fingers crossed that one of both will be in the final round as Lucky Loser.
The competition on New Year begins at 14:00 (CET).
